Dear Members, Families & Supporters,
We hope this message finds you well. The 2025 season is reaching an exciting stage, and there’s plenty to celebrate both on and off the pitch.
🔵 SENIOR MEN & WOMEN🔵
Both our senior squads are enjoying stellar seasons:
The Senior Men sit equal second on the ladder and undefeated in their past 7 games. This week we will see a true test of that form, playing away against Adelaide Blue Eagles. A win here will see us move clear into second position with finals football in our sights.
Results aside, part of the journey has been focused on laying sustainable foundations and fostering a strong learning environment for our youth players. We’ve seen the senior debut of several players under the age of 20, including:

“There’s a real belief in the group this year. The next month will test us however we’re ready and excited for the challenge.” — Senior Men’s Coach Theo Tsiounis. “Also, it’s been testament to our program that we’ve seen the introduction of so many young players into the first team. The ongoing, collective support of everyone connected to the Club will be vital in both our short and long-term success”.
The Senior Women continue to dominate, currently undefeated and on top of the table plus embarking on another terrific cup run with a semi-final looming against Metro United this coming weekend. Special mention must go to Niina Yamada who has now scored in 10 consecutive games and sits atop of the goalscoring charts with 15 goals – unbelievable effort!
“The team have had a phenomenal undefeated start to 2025, but they have remained humble and true to their values, looking ahead one game at a time” noted Senior Head Coach Kosta Jaric. “This week we prepare for a big Cup semi-final as we aim for a second consecutive cup final appearance”.
Make sure you head down to Service FM Stadium on Saturday to cheer on the team!

⚽ YCC MOMENTUM BUILDING
After a slow start, our Youth Club Championship programs are gaining traction. Team performances are becoming more consistent, and there’s been noticeable growth in confidence and cohesion across the age groups. A strong pipeline is forming.

Notable mention to our Under 13 side who currently sit top in their respective league.
🏆 2015 CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION
Earlier this month, we welcomed past players and staff to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our 2015 NPL Championship win. It was a night of stories, laughs, and pride – a great reminder of what makes this Club special.
🏟️ PARK 27B – NEXT PHASE APPROACHING
We are pleased to share that updated designs for the redevelopment of Park 27B are expected imminently. Once received, we’ll move into the tender phase later this year with works expected to commence in early 2026. This will keep us on track for what will be a transformational new home for the Club’s junior boys and girls.
🎉 HELLAS LOTTERY & QUIZ NIGHT – GET INVOLVED!
– Hellas Lottery is now live! Tickets are available via raffletix.com.au/westadelaide or around the respective clubrooms – Major prize is a brand new Chery Tiggo 4 with a $6k travel voucher up for grabs should you grab a ticket before 21 July.
Funds will support key club programs, including the fit-out of an additional changeroom at Kilburn.
– Quiz Night – Saturday 6 July: Great to see our senior women & men driving this one! Tables are filling fast – gather your friends and book now for a night of trivia, games, and great prizes.
🏅 CONGRATULATIONS
– A big congrats to former player and coach Paul Pezos, who recently lifted the A-League Championship with Melbourne City.
– Also, a huge shout-out to the Socceroos for qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup – a proud moment for Australian football and inspiration to our juniors.
